Summer Reading 2017 is Here!

Posted on May 15, 2017 by GPL

All ages are encouraged to join us from now until July 29th for our newly revamped Summer Reading Program!  Earn points for reading this summer, then use those points to vote on some great community prizes!  So, how does it work?

Record each hour you read this summer.  Track hours on our handy paper reading logs, or with our new online logging system.
Complete missions to earn badges.  What are missions?  They’re a fun, new way to get credit for attending programs, trying new things, and reading different types of books.  Check out our online logging system to what missions are available.

Win prizes by earning badges!  You’ll get a small take home prize for the first few badges, and you’ll win a marble for every badge you earn.  With a marble you can vote on an upcoming program we’ll offer this fall!

Stop by the Children’s, Teen, or Adult Reference desks to get started or register online at www.greenwoodlibrary.us!

We’ll also be celebrating reading all summer long at the library with fun activities and decorations.  Each week we’ll be focusing on a different literary genre.

June 5 – Mysteries

June 12 – Fantasy

June 19 – Realistic Fiction

June 26 – SciFi

July 10 – Non-Fiction

July 17 – Historical Fiction

July 24 – Manga
